That was a great play. Hollywood really turned his life around, too. I've seen clips of him talking since then and like Roger Staubach said, "When Thomas cleaned up, he really cleaned up." There aren't too many people that can talk, and when you're done listening to them, you feel like you could run through a brick wall. Hollywood is one of those people. He also won the lottery. The real lottery. Not the fake UK microsoft sweepstakes lottery.
We had this stereo we had bought a short time before Super Bowl XIII. It had a cassette recorder on it, which was a very cool thing at the time. I hadn't used it yet, but I got this great idea that I was going to record the Super Bowl and all of the pregame coverage, so I could listen to it over and over. I was missing football already and the season wasn't even finished yet. Turns out, the cassette recorder could only record something playing on the system. I couldn't record off the TV which was sitting right next to it. I learned this after the game. Well, I learned the cassette didn't work, it took me awhile to figure out why. So not only did the greatest team ever lose the game, my brilliant plan failed.
